Defining ‘No’

No
exclamation
1.used to give a negative response or expressing disagreement

noun
1.a negative answer or decision.

No is the most misunderstood word.

A man said to her wife when she put forward her longing to work, a clear “no”.
The same man abuses his wife with his belt in his hand, and when she says “no”,
The word is alien to him, he doesn’t understand the language anymore.

Well mainly when it comes as a decision taken by a woman, whenever she utters no, it is actually ‘a hidden yes’. Well… that’s what many think. If she is saying no, she is shy, she is actually saying yes, isn’t it?

Well.. NO.

When someone says no ,he or she is against any kind of advances you make and is expressing disagreement. Here, it is about consent and if consent is not there, back off. A ‘No’ makes her dissaproval clear enough, there is no question of confusion.

To all women out there–

We have the right to say no.

We have the right to refusal.

We have the right over our bodies.

If someone abuses you, and a NO is not enough for the stupid person to understand, you have to make your actions let him understand. Well, that’s what self defense is for.

And we must remember that.
